Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after periods of air raids in the region, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
